Order Issues
Hopefully, you will never have a problem with one of your orders. However, when a problem occurs, it is important to be able to categorize the problem so that it can be reported properly, saving time on resolutions.
Here are the major discrepancies that may be encountered:
Damage – This is defined as an item being damaged in the packing process.
Damage by Carrier – This is when damage is caused to items in transit.
Missing Carton/Shipment – This is when a whole order or a full carton is missing from an order.
Defective – This is an item that has a problem not caused by handling, such as: binding problems, misprinting, and any time of mis-cut pages or covers.
Incorrect Title – This is when you receive a product you did not order and are short a title ordered.
Overages – This is when you receive a product you did not order, but you are not short any items.
Prepack/Volume Set Problems – This is when a product, which is listed as a prepack or set arrives missing part of the prepack or one or more of the Volumes of a set. (Prepack is when a product number represents a bulk quantity, such pamphlets. Volume Set is when a product number represents a collection of books that make up a set.)
Label Mix-Up – This is when you receive a carton with your business name and address on the outside label, but the product inside is not yours.
Mis-Deliveries – This is when a carrier delivers freight to your address that is addressed correctly to another business.
