Locked Inventory
When there is locked stock, reference your IQ and CoreSource looking closely at the “Sellable- (On Hand Quantity)”, “carton quantity” and “List Price” as this will more than likely alert you of why stock is locked.
Reference the recent printer shipment details, if the price or carton quantity is different from CoreSource this would cause a lock.
When new stock arrives, if there is a different carton quantity or list price, the new stock will be locked until one of the following happens.
- Price lock
- Wait for stock to sell down to zero in ALL warehouses.
- Request a Work Order for on-hand stock to be stickered to updated price.
- Request a Work Order for on-hand stock to be recycled and price updated.
- Carton Qty lock
- Carton quantity will be updated once the on-hand stock reduces below the current carton quantity.
*Price Locks and Carton Quantity locks are checked multiple times weekly.
With the bullet point information above you can decide if you need Pub Support to take any action.
